Romeos

Lukas is a young transgender man who moves to Cologne to study and work in the big city. Despite difficulties, when the administration has him assigned to the female dorm and refuses his request to be placed with the men, things start to look up when he goes to a wild party and meets Fabio, a flirtatious gay lothario that embodies everything Lukas desires: self-confidence, overt masculinity, and smoldering sensuality. As their attraction to one another grows, Lukas must decide how to proceed with this intimate relationship, knowing that sharing his gender identity could risk losing Fabio and more. Director Sabine Bernardi tells this eye-opening story with sincerity and humor—turning the unconventional romance into a courageous tale of love, friendship, and sexual awakening.
