Jessie’s got it bad for her best friend Jamie. When Jamie announces she is moving to New York, the pressure is on for Jessie to declare her feelings. Everyone seems to know Jessie’s secret—except Jamie—and they offer up sympathy and advice that occasionally takes the form of a musical number. When Jamie tries to make Jessie notice her with some misguided dating and sleeping around, both of them learn more about their friendship and love than they had expected. Writer-director Wendy Jo Carlton (HANNAH FREE) offers this fresh take on the relationships that mean so much on the brink of adulthood, set to a soundtrack that includes lesbian favorites Tegan and Sara.
