Reel Pride's Starline Series of edgy films begins with Cam Archer's first full-length feature film. Fresno audiences may remember his short film BobbyCrush (2003) and Wild Tigers I Have Known again utilizes the stunning unconventional storytelling and beautiful photography for which Archer is known.
Logan, a soft-spoken, nearly friendless 13 year-old boy, is obsessed with older, post-pubescent boys - particularly Rodeo Walker. As Logan's infatuation with Rodeo grows, the wild dreamer invents a new persona named Leah. Leah and Rodeo grow close through whispered late-night phone calls, but it is Logan who must finally prove he can ask for what he so achingly wants.
Wild Tigers draws us back into a world of moody teenage isolation, imagination, and eventual hope, mixing effortlessly with the desperate intensity and mysticism of first love and sexual awakening.
