In the tradition of the lesbian boarding school genre, Loving Annabelle is a winsome new addition to the canon, developed after years of research and fascination with the 1931 production of Maedchen in Uniform. Reel Pride favorite Katherine Brooks (Finding Kate, Dear Emily) creates a film centered around Simone (Diane Gaidry), a repressed poetry teacher with a secret past who has never been able to leave the school, and Annabelle (Erin Kelly), a rowdy rich daughter of a senator who has been kicked out of numerous schools for "bad behavior."

Loving Annabelle's teacher Simone is assigned to oversee the actions of Annabelle, and soon finds out that she has been given more than she bargained for - Annabelle is incorrigibly brazen, dissecting e.e. cummings poetry with all the sexual innuendos that she can provide within the classroom. Soon Simone is in a flutter, and Annabelle is hell bent on getting what she wants.

With lesbian rumors, hidden secrets, jealousy and vicious high school tricks, Loving Annabelle holds us in its grip of tension within the confined boarding school walls.
