Remarkably multidimensional and fresh, Looking for Cheyenne will leave viewers immediately satisfied - not least because the lead actresses make the film a true visual feast!
Sonia, a smart, lovely Parisian science teacher, is still bruised from the recent departure of her girlfriend Cheyenne. Flashbacks reveal the beautiful and fiery Cheyenne as a committed activist who refuses to reconcile herself to the realities - particularly the comforts - of globalized urban life. In the aftermath of the breakup, Sonia embarks on affairs with a man and a woman, though she cannot help but feel the intense magnetic draw of Cheyenne. Paris may be a lover's paradise, but it can also be the loneliest city in the world when love proves not enough.
Reminiscent of French New Wave cinema, at once humorous and philosophical, director Minetto's film uses experimental hijinks to artfully tell the story of the women's unusual separation.
