This stunningly perfect documentary was too good for just our youth, so we've expanded our 'Youth Saturday' to include and invite everyone to attend one of the most heartwarming and fun documentaries ever seen by Reel Pride programmers.
Camp OUT showcases the incredible opportunity for several young people who identify as queer AND Christian to attend a one-of-a-kind summer camp where the pastors and camp directors are also fighting the dogmatic dilemmas of Christianity.
Surprisingly riveting and highly polished, this doc will have you identifying with and falling for the stories and personalities of these 10 endearing teenagers, who are brave enough to attend an overnight Bible camp and strong enough to refuse to turn their backs on God. The filmmakers cleverly interweave intimate cinema verité scenes with candid interviews. These teens dare to challenge their queer brothers and sisters by holding true to what they believe.
