"A wise, hilarious gay-marital romp...the entire cast is perfection!" - Michael Musto, THE VILLAGE VOICE
"[A] warm - and often hysterically funny - comedy about two decent guys who endure some really humiliating complications on the way to love." - Anne Stockwell, THE ADVOCATE
There's Something About Mary meets When Harry Met Sally in this spectacular and hilariously sweet love story from first time director (but long-time indie icon and queer idol) Craig Chester. Chester also stars as Adam, who in 1984 is a sarcastic goth guy armed only with his obese friend Rhonda (the delightful and unrecognizable Parker Posey) as they run into glam dancer Steve (Malcolm Gets). After an unforgettable and regrettable one-night stand of sorts, the action cuts to 15 years later where lightning strikes a second time between Adam and Steve....only these two are blissfully unaware of their prior meeting.
Chester pulls out all the stops in this romp, enlisting strikingly funny and poignant performances from Posey as his best friend, and SNL alum Chris Kattan as Steve's sarcastic ladykiller roommate.
Out actors Chester and Gets light up the screen with genuine chemistry, a bona fide zest for the outrageous and an uncanny knack for two-stepping. Adam and Steve may seem farcical, but is really a touching reminder of how love can truly conquer all.
